Exploring heritage across time - exchanging stories and acknowledging identity to foster cultural awareness.
Examining heritage is crucial for comprehending our personal identity and connection to place. Heritage holds broad significance, with narratives from yesterday, today, and tomorrow intertwined with tangible elements (landscapes, architecture, monuments, and artifacts) as well as intangible traditions rooted in oral history and collective memory that enhance cultural engagement (folklore, customs, artisanal skills, cuisine, performing arts, and literature).
Our BA (Hons) in Heritage and Archaeology builds upon the University of Bradford's pioneering archaeological research, where we're advancing knowledge about heritage, archaeology, and wellbeing while employing groundbreaking technologies to uncover insights about history and its modern relevance.
