In art history studies, you'll survey a comprehensive timeline and select from specialized topics. You'll interact with artworks ranging from classical masterpieces to Pre-Raphaelite works, Surrealist creations, and cutting-edge contemporary visual culture. Course modules investigate diverse mediums including architecture, urban design, photography, video, along with traditional forms like painting, drawing, printmaking, performance art, and sculpture. This visual literacy foundation strengthens your examination of global cinema as you investigate film history and aesthetic principles across various production and reception contexts.

A-levels: BBB - BBC or 120 – 112 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 2 full A-levels
BTEC: DDM – DMM or 120 – 112 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of the equivalent of 2 full A-levels.
Other qualifications that hold UCAS tariff points, and combined qualifications: 120 – 112 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 2 full A levels or equivalent.
IB: 30 - 29 points or three Higher Level certificates with 555-554.
We are also happy to consider a combination of separate IB Diploma Programme courses (formerly certificates) at both Higher and Standard Level. Exact offer levels will vary depending on the range of subjects being taken at higher and standard level, and the course applied for.
