Our joint honors program lets you pursue both Drama and Creative Writing equally, with numerous modules that blend these disciplines, including Writing for Radio and Writing for Theatre. In Drama, you'll study theater from classical to contemporary works, examining themes like gender, identity, tragedy, human rights, immersive theater, devising, and playwriting. You'll also develop technical theater skills in design and stage management, with assessments ranging from essays to performances, solo projects, and group collaborations. In Creative Writing, you'll hone your craft through diverse genres, including fiction, poetry, nonfiction, psychogeography, and performance writing. Our unique approach blends innovative and traditional techniques to refine your writing while broadening your expertise across styles. The Centre for Creative Writing fosters experimentation and creativity, helping you thrive within a vibrant writing community. You'll also build transferable skills in research, essay planning, and career development. **Study Abroad** Expand your horizons by spending a year or term at one of our partner universities. The four-year degree option includes a third year abroad or a placement overseas (see below). Studying abroad enriches your academic and cultural perspective while showcasing adaptability to future employers. If you study abroad for a full year, you'll pay only 15% of your usual tuition fee—with no additional costs at your host institution. **Placement Year** Gain real-world experience through a placement with an external organization, boosting your employability and industry connections. This option maintains the same curriculum as the three-year degree.
