The literary landscape today is more varied, vibrant, and cooperative than ever before. UEA, pioneering creative writing education in the UK over five decades ago, has significantly influenced this evolving scene. Numerous authors have developed their craft through our programs, leaving an indelible mark on modern literature.

As a Creative Writing and English Literature student, you'll refine your writing abilities while studying diverse literary works across genres, cultures, and historical eras. You'll participate in the same creative workshops as our English Literature with Creative Writing students, plus specialized modules that bridge academic study and professional writing practice. Through seminars, workshops, and practical placements, you'll cultivate versatile skills spanning multiple disciplines, community projects, and publishing opportunities.
