We seek exceptional postgraduate applicants to join our renowned Wellcome Trust four-year PhD program in Translational Neuroscience. This distinguished and forward-thinking research initiative tackles the urgent worldwide demand for translating fundamental neuroscience discoveries into clinical applications. Through its 'Training to Translate' approach, the program enhances knowledge, expertise, and capabilities in clinical translation while leveraging Edinburgh's distinctive research strengths in lifespan-related disorders. This initiative is managed by the University of Edinburgh with funding from the Wellcome Trust.

The curriculum prepares non-clinical students to integrate advanced experimental techniques (including cellular, regenerative, computational, genetic, and animal model approaches) with thorough understanding of clinical brain research settings. This unique combination provides students with specialized skills to effectively connect laboratory-based experimental design and analysis with the complexities of experimental medicine.
