Our supervision covers diverse research areas including cinematic aesthetics, philosophical approaches to film, national cinema studies, auteur analysis, interconnections between film and other arts, and exhibition practices.
We welcome proposals examining thematic subjects, genre studies, theoretical frameworks, and cinematic movements. For interdisciplinary projects, you can draw on expertise across the School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures (LLC) and other departments, with specialists available in literature, anthropology, art history, musicology, and related fields.
