The Institute for Integrated Micro and Nano Systems (IMNS) unites experts across various disciplines, including integrated-circuit development, system-on-chip engineering, image-sensor technology, bioelectronics, micro/nano-manufacturing, MEMS, micromachining, neural computing, and adaptable computing architectures.
Our research spans diverse areas such as analog circuit design, energy-efficient systems, biologically inspired computing, system-on-chip applications ranging from telecom to financial and astronomical uses. A key emphasis lies on merging CMOS microelectronics with sensor technologies and MEMS to develop intelligent sensing solutions. We're also expanding our work in life sciences and medical applications, specializing in bioelectronic devices, biophotonic systems, and biomedical MEMS technologies.
IMNS boasts specialized UK facilities featuring cutting-edge silicon and MEMS fabrication technologies alongside comprehensive design and testing infrastructure. The Institute maintains a distinguished track record in technology transfer and commercialization.
