The MSc by Research in Counselling Studies equips students with thorough knowledge of research methodology, information gathering, and analytical techniques specific to counselling and psychotherapy studies.

This program delivers higher-level training for those seeking to enhance their research capabilities, including experienced counselling professionals and social science investigators.

The field emphasizes qualitative, reflective, and critical research methodologies, with specialized knowledge in practice-oriented studies that utilize therapists' clinical experiences, clients' therapeutic journeys, and narrative, reflective, and auto-ethnographic approaches.

We particularly welcome research exploring the connections between therapeutic practices and societal, cultural, and political contexts.
