This Master's program is the UK's pioneering initiative to meet 21st-century demands for deeper insights into how landscapes influence human wellbeing, enabling the creation of health-promoting outdoor spaces. The curriculum integrates diverse academic perspectives from across the University.

Students particularly gain from OPENspace's world-renowned research on accessible outdoor environments and their positive impacts on health and life quality. The program fosters interdisciplinary connections spanning arts, humanities, social sciences, and the University's scientific and medical expertise.

Participants will acquire knowledge about outdoor elements that promote wellbeing and develop skills to assess current environments and proposed developments critically. Graduates will emerge prepared to investigate, propose, and evaluate landscape designs that actively enhance human health and wellbeing.

Qualification Requirements

Normally a UK 2:1 honours degree, or its international equivalent, in a relevant subject.

IELTS Academic: total 7.0 with at least 6.0 in each component.
TOEFL-iBT (including Home Edition): total 100 with at least 20 in each component. We do not accept TOEFL MyBest Score to meet our English language requirements.
