This program enables you to examine American History from a hemispheric perspective, considering America as the entire Americas region. You'll be able to adopt either a comparative or transnational approach to studying the history of the Americas, while also focusing deeply on specific nations and areas.
Our University boasts an outstanding group of historians specializing in U.S., Latin American, and Caribbean studies, enabling us to offer diverse courses and research guidance across numerous subjects and eras. These span from the Revolutionary War to comparative slavery studies, and from Latin American authoritarian regimes to U.S. Cold War diplomacy.
You'll participate in various seminar-style classes with small groups while crafting your own research project under the guidance of our world-renowned history faculty. The curriculum delivers advanced knowledge of key American history themes while honing your capabilities in independent research, critical evaluation, and both verbal and written communication.
