This well-regarded combined degree program offers foundational knowledge in both Social Anthropology and Social Policy, two disciplines that mutually enhance one another.
Social anthropology examines human behavior and cognition. Global societies demonstrate remarkable diversity in their social structures, cultural practices, and political systems. Exploring these differences while recognizing our shared humanity forms the core of social anthropology. The subject maintains strong connections with sociology, human geography, development studies, history, archaeology, and philosophy. During your first two years, you'll explore diverse courses before focusing your studies in Years 3 and 4. The program includes a four-month independent research project leading to your dissertation, with fieldwork opportunities available both domestically and internationally.
