Security is a universal need. From protecting our borders, food and water supplies, and digital information to safeguarding our homes, ensuring the safety of our resources and communities presents greater challenges now than ever before. As part of your Global Challenges degree's core curriculum, you'll explore pressing global issues like climate change, sustainable development, migration, terrorism, inequality, and poverty, examining their worldwide impact. This specialization provides comprehensive insights into security concerns across physical, space, and digital domains. The program is organized into three progressive levels: integrated, applied, and advanced security studies. First-year integrated security modules cover four key themes: security fundamentals, intelligence analysis, critical reasoning, and strategic influence. Second-year applied security courses examine practical challenges including warfare, criminal justice, space security, and risk assessment. Your final year focuses on advanced security topics such as emerging threats and governmental responses.
