When you join us, absolute beginners enroll in our German 1A course, while those with previous language experience usually start with German 1B.
Throughout our four-year program, including a year overseas, your coursework will help develop professional competencies in all German language areas, such as:
reading and comprehension
writing and translation
oral communication and presentations
Additionally, you'll examine German literature, cinema, and drama within their historical and political contexts, spanning from the 1700s to modern day.
You'll acquire deep understanding of German cultural frameworks and the ability to analyze primary texts in their original language. This enables you to critically assess contributions from German-speaking artists, authors, and filmmakers.
Art History
Expanding beyond German-speaking regions, Art History exposes you to global artistic traditions across various eras.
You'll study the creation processes and intended audiences of artworks while investigating their significance and potential interpretations.
