This program provides a dynamic, analytical space for artists looking to advance their creative work. Instruction focuses on individual mentoring and cross-year group discussions, complemented by a continuous schedule of guest artist visits.

We highlight the importance of discussion and exchange in fostering groundbreaking art. The program also cultivates an encouraging atmosphere where experimentation is valued as essential for creating bold, inventive artwork.

The curriculum explores current trends in contemporary art and strategies for artists to initiate projects, work collectively, and organize exhibition opportunities.

We stress the interplay between theory and practical application. Participants will work together on student-led exhibitions at Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) and with our partner galleries. Academic components inspire both imaginative and scholarly engagement with modern art discourse, requiring research initiatives that directly inform artistic practice.
