Geophysics examines the intricate relationships among Earth's various systems. Our research spans from the molten metal in the planet's core to continental drift on its surface. We investigate both the deep Earth's structure and the dynamic changes in atmospheric composition.
This program combines the strengths of both fields.

Geology and geophysics are often mixed up since both analyze Earth's systems and processes. Both disciplines, for instance, research the driving forces of plate tectonics.

Key differences:

Geologists concentrate on Earth's surface materials and their transformation over time.
Geophysicists primarily examine physical phenomena, including Earth's interior makeup and atmospheric dynamics.
As a geophysics and geology student, you'll explore:

mineral characteristics at microscopic levels
Earth's architecture and constituent materials
how fundamental forces like gravity, seismic activity, and magnetism mold our planet
Earth's history to predict and protect its future
the effects of climate change on global systems
This degree connects you with expert faculty across multiple Earth science specialties. Our research-driven, industry-aligned curriculum provides practical relevance, enhancing your career prospects.

We emphasize experiential learning to cultivate valuable technical skills. Numerous activities mirror real-world professional tasks.
