This program culminates in Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) certification for teaching students aged 11-16, enabling you to teach in secondary schools across England and Wales. When opportunities arise, we also provide exposure to teaching older students up to age 18.
Ensuring all students achieve proficiency in at least one foreign language remains critically important.
This ongoing need for language education means schools continuously seek skilled language instructors to help students cultivate enduring abilities - and why aspiring language teachers can access some of the most generous training bursaries available.
In East London schools, French, German and Spanish dominate language offerings, with additional options including Italian, Russian, Mandarin, Japanese, Urdu and Bengali. Through UEL's teacher training, you'll learn innovative methods to engage students by demonstrating language applications in commerce, daily life, and cultural contexts.
