This primary teacher training program is tailored for graduates dedicated to pursuing a career in primary education. It prepares you to instruct children aged five to eleven years old. You may also qualify for substantial tax-free training bursaries.
During your training, you'll master teaching the full primary curriculum while selecting a specialized pathway. The Special Educational Needs (Inclusion) pathway specifically develops your ability to address diverse learning requirements in mainstream classroom settings.
The program equips you with essential classroom teaching skills. Upon completion, you'll be capable of effectively delivering the entire primary curriculum to a full class of students with confidence.
Graduates emerge with exceptional subject expertise across all curriculum areas. You'll gain skills in creating dynamic lesson plans and supporting student academic growth.
The initial five weeks primarily take place at our specialized School of Education and Communities facility, focusing on teaching methodologies and curriculum content.
You'll expand your subject knowledge and learn strategies to enhance student learning across all disciplines.
Through collaborations with regional schools and education authorities, we address local teacher shortages, with many graduates securing positions at partner institutions. Some trainees receive job offers directly from their placement schools. Educational partners consistently rate our graduates as highly competent professionals. An OFSTED 2012 report highlights one school's praise: "Trainees arrive classroom-ready and well-equipped to handle teaching demands."
