This primary teacher training program is tailored for graduates dedicated to pursuing a career in primary education. It prepares you to instruct children aged five to eleven years old.
You may qualify for generous tax-free training bursaries at the highest level.
Throughout the training, you'll master teaching the complete primary curriculum while specializing in a chosen pathway. Opting for the Humanities and Religious Education (RE) specialization will equip you with advanced skills and knowledge, positioning you for future leadership roles in these subjects. The Humanities track covers History, Geography, and Citizenship.
East London provides diverse, dynamic school environments for your training, though your UEL qualification will enable you to teach throughout England and Wales.
The program focuses on developing competent primary classroom teachers. Upon completion, you'll be fully prepared to deliver the entire primary curriculum effectively to a full classroom of students.

The initial five weeks primarily take place at our specialized education facility within the School of Education and Communities. This intensive period covers both teaching methodologies and curriculum content.

Some trainees receive job offers directly from their placement schools.
