This program delves into the intricate anatomy and physiological workings of the human body, covering both healthy and diseased states. You'll gain in-depth knowledge of bodily structures and functions through studies in physiology, anatomy, histology, biochemistry, and pharmacology.
Hands-on training includes bioscience methodologies and equipment operation, including pulmonary assessments, physical performance evaluations, diagnostic imaging (chest radiographs), and cardiac monitoring (ECGs). Alumni have pursued roles as Physician Associates, Respiratory Physiologists, cardiology specialists, hearing experts, ultrasound technicians, educators, and advanced medical studies (master's and doctoral programs).
Industry exposure is facilitated through off-site experiences like anatomical study sessions at St George's Hospital and guest lectures. Our partnership with The Physiological Society provides networking with professionals, research presentation platforms, and scientific skill development.
Exceptional students have showcased their findings at Society conferences, with some securing funding for specialized training in live organism and laboratory experimentation techniques.
