The BA (Hons) Dance: Urban Practice is an innovative program that has grown steadily in popularity across the UK and worldwide since its launch in 2007. This energetic and unique course provides students with the opportunity to learn from a talented, specialized dance faculty in East London's thriving cultural center. The program is also available as a four-year option with an integrated foundation year.

The Level 3 Foundation year in Performing Arts aims to provide students with essential performance techniques and academic foundations, ensuring readiness for degree-level study. Successful completion allows progression to the BA (Hons) Dance: Urban Practice degree.
You'll explore numerous dance styles, including urban forms like hip-hop and funk, alongside global traditions such as capoeira, African contemporary, Afro-house, bharata natyam, kathak, and kalaripayattu.
Our comprehensive curriculum ensures you'll develop versatile skills to become a well-rounded dance professional.
Numerous alumni have established successful 'portfolio' careers, working across multiple fields including performance, choreography, education, and arts management.
