Educating children aged 5-11, you'll have a crucial responsibility in inspiring young learners to stay curious and enthusiastic about their education. Created through strong collaboration with primary schools across East Anglia, our Primary PGCE program prepares you to become a skilled, self-assured educator who can both engage students and maintain effective classroom management.
After successfully completing the PGCE, you'll earn Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) along with 90 credits at Master's level.
This intensive one-year program begins each September and concludes the following July. Most of your time will be spent in school settings - with a minimum of 120 days (24 weeks) in primary placements plus additional school days for practicing essential teaching techniques, alongside up to 60 days of instructional sessions. You'll gain experience in two different schools, providing valuable contrasting perspectives to enhance your teaching approach.
