Pharmacology explores medications and their impacts on biological systems. You'll investigate how drugs function to treat illnesses and, alongside drug development, discover how novel medications are created, produced, and distributed. The Pharmacology Drug Discovery course stands as the UK's sole MSci program of its kind, distinguished by its interdisciplinary methodology.

This program unites diverse scientific fields - including biology, chemistry, and physics - centered on illness and pharmaceutical treatments. Through comprehensive modules, you'll study prevalent diseases and the scientific principles underlying their treatments. Business studies are incorporated to equip you with management knowledge tailored to the pharmaceutical sector - essential skills for navigating modern corporate environments.

AAB including Chemistry. A-Level General Studies and Critical Thinking are not accepted. Where applicable Science A Levels awarded by an English Exam board require a pass in the practical element. If you are taking an EPQ and three A-levels, we may offer you a one grade reduction on our advertised typical offer alongside an A in the EPQ.
