Alongside advanced mathematics education, our Master of Mathematics with a Year Abroad program offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in a new cultural environment. You'll dedicate your third year to international study at one of our affiliated universities in North America, Australia, or Europe before completing your final year at UEA.

This overseas experience not only deepens your mathematical expertise but also helps you establish valuable connections while developing personal resilience and adaptability - creating truly transformative memories.

Program Overview
This four-year Master's program features a flexible structure, enabling you to blend pure and applied mathematics with statistics, plus elective courses from other UEA departments.

The curriculum builds progressively from foundational concepts to advanced topics. As you advance, you can customize your studies through optional modules that align with your academic interests. During your second year, you may select courses from other faculties, including Environmental Sciences, Computing Sciences, or Norwich Business School. Your third academic year will be spent overseas, where you'll choose from available courses at your host institution.
