Our MA Gender Studies program addresses today's landscape where equality and diversity are recognized as crucial for organizational achievement, and feminist discourse holds significant cultural influence—yet overcoming gender disparities remains difficult amid ongoing resistance. The curriculum is fundamentally grounded in the perspective that gender analysis gains depth and nuance when considering how it intersects with other identities (including, though not exclusively: race, social class, disability, and sexual orientation).

Within this context, the MA Gender Studies establishes gender's pivotal role in humanities fields like literature, history, and philosophy, while leveraging UEA's expertise in interdisciplinary areas such as cultural studies, media studies, American studies, and cross-cultural communication.
