This program integrates the seven core subjects of a conventional law degree with an introductory Criminology module (Crime and Society), a module on criminal theories (examining different perspectives on what drives criminal behavior), and an advanced Criminology course (Contemporary Issues in Crime and Justice) alongside foundational modules covering the English Legal System and Law in Practice. These components help students grasp how laws influence and govern society, as well as the dynamic between citizens and government. They provide the groundwork for developing specialized knowledge in legal and criminological studies during your final year.
UEA Law School's semester-based teaching structure means each module is completed within a single term, offering greater flexibility in later stages of the program. During your second and final years, you'll select seven elective modules from available options.
