This three-year program fosters a deep, enduring comprehension of Earth's processes. You'll investigate how our planet's interconnected systems shape the environment while examining challenges that endanger our future.
About one-third of your UEA studies will focus on mathematical methods and analytical skills for evaluating physical environments. The curriculum cultivates critical thinking about cutting-edge research topics while providing thorough training in research methodologies and their constraints. You'll gain independent problem-solving abilities and learn to apply knowledge creatively in research contexts.
The program emphasizes extensive fieldwork across diverse geological settings. Field courses train you in various technical methods, including seismic and gravity studies, electromagnetic measurements, and ground-penetrating radar surveys.
