In this Children and Young People's Nursing program, you'll examine the healthcare requirements of children and adolescents while mastering techniques to nurture developing minds and bodies. The curriculum covers developmental anatomy, physiology, and disease processes, along with the emotional and social growth needs of young individuals. You'll gain expertise in treating illnesses while also learning strategies to encourage healthy development and prevent both physical and mental health issues.

Your nursing education will equip you for critical clinical practice, collaborating with young patients and their families to deliver care for acute, chronic, and complex medical conditions. This encompasses mental health support, as youth with ongoing health challenges face increased risks for emotional difficulties.

Beyond treating illness, you'll develop skills to empower young patients and their caregivers to adopt healthy habits that promote lifelong wellbeing as they transition into adulthood.
