Our state-of-the-art 200-seat Drama Studio will serve as the heart of your Drama studies at UEA. You'll have exclusive access to this exceptional facility, allowing full creative control over every aspect of your productions - from acting and set design to costumes, lighting, and audio engineering. You'll gain hands-on theatrical experience comparable to specialized Drama Schools.

Yet your Drama education extends beyond practical training. At UEA, you'll explore a remarkable spectrum of dramatic arts, from traditional theater to contemporary performance. The program introduces critical theoretical frameworks, actor/director development methods, and creative writing techniques. You'll investigate theater's political dimensions - how governments, activists, and artists employ performance to reinforce or contest power dynamics. Additionally, you'll study innovative theater groups defining today's performance art scene.
