You'll explore archaeology, anthropology, and art history as interconnected disciplines, gaining a comprehensive understanding of visual and material cultures across diverse regions and historical periods. This program will help you recognize how human-object interactions form the foundation of our shared humanity. Through archaeology, you'll examine long-term patterns of human adaptation and transformation spanning centuries or millennia. Anthropology offers contemporary insights into modern living and social dynamics. Art history reveals how human innovation has influenced our world, from technological advancements to individual artistic expression.

Your studies will include hands-on work with the renowned Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts collections, housed in an architecturally significant modern museum. This gives you direct access to significant artworks from Asia, Africa, the Pacific, the Americas, and Europe. You'll examine authentic artifacts while learning about museum curation practices.
