Discover how ancient civilizations interacted with their environment and uncover profound truths about human nature. Our archaeology and anthropology program blends humanities and scientific approaches. You'll examine human diversity across cultures and eras through an interdisciplinary lens. Beyond theoretical studies, you'll participate in hands-on fieldwork within active research projects, either domestically or internationally. The BA in Archaeology and Anthropology reveals the origins of human societies, their historical transformations, and the roots of contemporary cultural differences. This program merges two complementary fields: archaeology (investigating ancient cultures through material artifacts) and anthropology, which encompasses:
social anthropology (analyzing how different communities construct meaning and social structures)
anthropological linguistics (studying human cultures through their languages)
biological anthropology (examining physiological and genetic variations in human and primate populations)
Our specialized archaeology facility features cutting-edge scientific laboratories. Throughout this combined degree, you'll work directly with archaeological finds and receive professional training for careers in either archaeology or anthropology.
