The University of Dundee's Dental School, recognized as a WHO Collaborating Centre for Public Health Matters Concerning Congenital Abnormalities and Knowledge Exchange, is renowned for its high-caliber dental research and research degree programs.

Currently, more than 50% of our postgraduate research students come from international locations including Middle Eastern nations, Egypt, Trinidad, and Brazil, drawn primarily by our specialized knowledge in areas like public dental health/health services, tooth decay studies, and craniofacial abnormalities. These students secure funding through various sources such as research grants, academic awards, and financial support from their home governments.

Our advanced degree programs typically require 1 year of full-time study for a Master's degree and 3 years for a doctoral (PhD) qualification. Some students may opt for additional clinical practice or extended training programs lasting 4-5 years. The school also offers laboratory-based research opportunities in dental biomaterials, molecular biology, and tissue regeneration technologies.
