To enroll in the MSc program, you must first hold an undergraduate degree. This course teaches effective communication techniques for working with children, who often present diverse and challenging healthcare requirements. MSc students will conduct independent research through a dissertation on a subject of their choice. With guidance from our expert faculty, you'll create and assess care strategies for various environments, addressing both physical and mental health concerns that mirror real-world clinical complexities. The program divides your time equally between classroom instruction at our City Campus and practical placements in hospitals and community facilities. Clinical rotations may involve high-acuity settings like pediatric wards and neonatal ICUs, as well as home healthcare and specialized community clinics. Placements span multiple regions including NHS Tayside, Fife, Forth Valley, and Highland, exposing you to diverse healthcare systems and communities. These hands-on experiences cultivate essential clinical competencies. At Ninewells Hospital's Clinical Skills Centre, you'll engage in realistic patient simulations with trained actors, enhancing your practical abilities in our mock hospital environment.
