Today's world is characterized by conflict, collaboration, and the growing importance of non-state entities. Our program equips you with the analytical skills and frameworks needed to navigate these intricate connections. The MA program allows you to combine Politics with various disciplines ranging from History and Geography to languages and Psychology. As you progress to Levels 3 and 4, you'll have opportunities to focus on specific areas of interest.
Throughout your studies, you'll cultivate the capacity to identify obstacles and possibilities while working toward solutions for global challenges.
Our department maintains a close-knit, welcoming environment while offering an extensive selection of courses with minimal required modules. Faculty members teach specialized subjects aligned with their recognized research expertise.
Elective courses currently explore Russian, Irish, and Middle Eastern political systems, nationalism studies, political philosophy, as well as human rights and humanitarian action. The curriculum also examines contemporary issues including drug policy, gender and sexual identity, ecological sustainability, and privacy concerns.
