By merging history and psychology in your studies, you'll have access to diverse module options. Our curriculum covers social, cultural, and political history spanning from the early modern era to contemporary times, with special emphasis on Britain, Europe, the Americas, Africa, and India.
From your first year, you'll work directly with primary sources, examining different forms of historical evidence such as documents, oral accounts, maps, visual materials, films, artworks, and musical pieces.
You'll explore how source materials and media portrayals influence our interpretations of history. The program encourages critical analysis of major historical debates, tracing their evolution and impact on our global perspective. Additionally, you'll investigate how historians construct narratives about the past and assess their contemporary role in public discourse, media, and cultural preservation.
Psychology examines the scientific principles behind human thought and behavior. The program addresses developmental learning in infants, cognitive changes throughout life, personality variations, and group interactions. You'll also explore various psychological conditions.
