The Foundation Year equips students with essential academic abilities and scientific knowledge, building the groundwork for the BSc (Hons) Psychology degree. During the first semester, all modules are common across the School of Applied Sciences' foundation year programs, allowing flexibility for students to switch programs after consultation with both their current and desired program directors, pending approval and successful completion of first-semester modules.
This preparatory year fosters academic confidence, ensuring students are prepared for Level 4 studies through a supportive environment that cultivates theoretical understanding, practical skills, and scholarly competencies. It encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning at a foundational level.
