This program equips you with the expertise and professional competencies needed to meet the Health and Care Profession Council's Standards of Proficiency, qualifying you to apply for registration as a Social Worker, provided you fulfill the HCPC's criteria. After successfully finishing this course, you'll possess the necessary knowledge, abilities, and hands-on experience to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a certified social worker, assuming you meet all HCPC requirements. Our faculty includes numerous licensed social workers with extensive field experience. Classroom learning incorporates lectures, collaborative group projects, case analyses, and discussions. Throughout the program, you'll complete 170 days of fieldwork placements where you can apply theoretical knowledge. Placements are assigned to ensure diverse professional exposure.

The need for skilled social workers across multiple specialties continues to grow, and this program readies you for such opportunities. Potential career paths include working in child welfare, adult protection, mental health services, disability support, elder care, or juvenile justice systems. Qualification Requirements

A minimum 2:1 honours degree (except in exceptional circumstances) or international equivalent
GCSE grade C or above in English and maths or certificated equivalences, regardless of previous educational qualifications
Completion of a written test, regardless of previous qualification or educational background
Non-UK applicants should achieve a minimum score of 7.0 overall in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) assessment (or an equivalent assessment) with a minimum of 6.5 in each skills area. Non-UK applicants for September 2023 should submit a final certificate to evidence the required level 2 qualifications are held and not being worked towards.
