You'll gain specialized expertise in musculoskeletal injuries and exercise rehabilitation, preparing you for careers in elite sports, NHS settings, and clinical environments. The program emphasizes hands-on experience in real-world scenarios, bridging theoretical concepts with practical application while expanding both your knowledge base and technical abilities. The curriculum covers diverse manual therapy approaches, from soft tissue techniques to functional rehabilitation, alongside studying treatment pathophysiology, athletic strength training, advanced spinal care, on-field trauma response, and multidisciplinary sports support. You'll develop a comprehensive understanding of athlete requirements, conducting clinical evaluations, performing physical assessments, and analyzing collected data to prevent injuries, support recovery, and optimize athletic performance.
Students should have a 2:2 or above in a relevant undergraduate degree (Physiotherapy, related health profession). GCSEs: GCSE English grade 4 (C) or equivalent.
