Students will collaborate with the Aspire Create team, a collective of assistive technology experts pioneering the future generation of these solutions, working alongside UCL clinicians at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. Rehabilitation engineering represents a fast-growing discipline poised to transform how individuals cope with the effects of injuries, illnesses, or aging, empowering them to regain autonomy in their daily lives.
The MSc program emphasizes the development and application of cutting-edge technologies, including haptic systems and neuromodulation techniques, to recover or replace motor functions. The curriculum specifically targets solutions for complex medical challenges like spinal cord injuries, strokes, neuromuscular disorders, and age-related health concerns.
