Rehabilitation engineering represents a fast-growing discipline poised to transform how individuals cope with the effects of injuries, illnesses, or aging, empowering them to regain autonomy in their daily lives.

The MSc program emphasizes the development and application of cutting-edge technologies, including haptic systems and neuromodulation techniques, to recover or replace motor functions. The curriculum specifically targets solutions for complex medical challenges like spinal cord injuries, strokes, neuromuscular disorders, and age-related health concerns.

Qualification Requirements

Prospective students should have a minimum of an upper second-class UK Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science (including Medicine), Engineering, Computer Science or Physics, an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard, or sufficient relevant professional experience. The English language level for this programme is: Level 2

UCL Pre-Master's and Pre-sessional English courses are for international students who are aiming to study for a postgraduate degree at UCL. The courses will develop your academic English and academic skills required to succeed at postgraduate level. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Version - Overall score of 7.0 and a minimum of 6.5 in each component. Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Overall score of 96 with 24/30 in reading and writing and 22/30 in speaking and listening.
