The Architecture MSci program blends architectural design skill development with insights into the complex social and technical contexts of building creation. This five-year course (covering ARB Part 1 and Part 2) merges undergraduate and postgraduate architecture education, featuring a final-year placement in an architectural practice. Structured around four years of core modules followed by a practical placement year, this design-focused program explores a different annual architectural and social theme each academic year.
Throughout their first four years, students investigate these yearly themes, which examine pressing architectural concerns from both local and global viewpoints - considering historical contexts alongside contemporary and future challenges.
This rotating theme system ensures students engage with four distinct thematic areas during their academic studies before transitioning to professional practice.
