The curriculum includes specialized training in social research methodologies tailored for policy professionals and academics. Designed with customization in mind, students can shape their studies to align with their academic interests and career aspirations.This master's program holds ESRC 1+3 training accreditation, functioning as a standalone qualification while also serving as preparation for PhD studies. Applicants may choose the Knowledge, Evidence and Policy specialization. Study options include on-campus or fully online delivery, with full-time (one year), part-time (two years), or flexible modular study plans (maximum five-year completion period).Multiple academic calendar options provide scheduling flexibility.
A minimum of an upper second-class Bachelors' degree from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in a social science subject, such as sociology, psychology, social policy, economics, or history. If you do not meet these requirements, other considerations, such as relevant work experience, may be taken into account. Overall grade of 7.5 with a minimum of 6.5 in each of the subtests. Overall score of 109 with 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening.
