The MRes in Politics and Economics of Eastern Europe provides specialized research training in methodologies for analyzing political, economic, and social systems across post-communist nations, including Russia and former Soviet states. This program offers a comprehensive grounding in social science research techniques while incorporating perspectives from cultural and historical studies. Students will acquire both interdisciplinary and subject-specific research competencies, along with language training tailored for conducting fieldwork in Eastern European regions. Qualification Requirements

Normally an upper second-class Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. The English language level for this programme is: Level 2

UCL Pre-Master's and Pre-sessional English courses are for international students who are aiming to study for a postgraduate degree at UCL. The courses will develop your academic English and academic skills required to succeed at postgraduate level. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Version - Overall score of 7.0 and a minimum of 6.5 in each component. Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Overall score of 96 with 24/30 in reading and writing and 22/30 in speaking and listening.
