The MRes program offers an in-depth look at cutting-edge immunology research, current challenges in immune function, disorders of immunity, and immune-based treatments. A key component is a nine-month independent research project (split between five months part-time and four months full-time), serving as ideal preparation for doctoral studies or a research career. The MRes in Experimental and Translational Immunology allows postgraduate students to leverage the distinctive resources of the Institute of Immunity & Transplantation (IIT), combining clinical and scientific excellence at the vanguard of translational immunology.
This program spans fundamental science to clinical applications, concluding with an intensive research project. Emphasis is placed on developing skills in critical evaluation and data analysis. Students will gain comprehensive understanding across immunology disciplines, including immune system regulation, immunodeficiency diseases, transplant immunology, gene therapy, tumor immunology, and immunotherapies. Instruction throughout draws upon the research expertise of UCL and its affiliated teaching hospitals.
