The MPhilPhD program leverages the extensive knowledge of UCL Hebrew & Jewish Studies, the sole department of its kind in the UK, providing research guidance across diverse areas, eras, and facets of Jewish studies. This program equips students for academic careers as well as roles in private and public sectors. UCL provides outstanding networking prospects for research students. Our department spans multiple disciplines, covering the full spectrum of Jewish studies—from history (ancient to contemporary) and political science to languages (all stages of Hebrew, various other Semitic languages, and Yiddish), literature, and gender studies.
