This program explores the fundamentals and techniques of situated practice through the lens of conceptual spatial theories across art, architecture, performance, urban studies, and writing. Participants examine spatial concepts and applications in these creative fields while building strong research methodologies for art and design. They engage in practice-based research, producing location-specific works ranging from physical installations and digital interventions to written explorations of place.
Through collaboration with experts from The Bartlett School of Architecture and partner organizations, the course enables students to develop innovative interdisciplinary approaches bridging art and architectural practice.
