This program explores the fundamentals and techniques of situated practice through the lens of conceptual spatial theories across art, architecture, performance, urban studies, and writing. Participants examine spatial concepts and applications in these creative fields while building strong research methodologies for art and design. They engage in practice-based research, producing location-specific works ranging from physical installations and digital interventions to written explorations of place.

Through collaboration with experts from The Bartlett School of Architecture and partner organizations, the course enables students to develop innovative interdisciplinary approaches bridging art and architectural practice.

Qualification Requirements

A minimum of a second-class UK degree in an appropriate subject or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. A design/creative portfolio is also expected. Applicants will be asked to submit a portfolio of their design work once their completed application has been received, and should not send or upload work until it has been requested.Overall grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each of the subtests. Overall score of 92 with 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening.
