This two-year program elevates graduates to an advanced level of architectural design. It fulfills Part 2 of the UK's professional architecture requirements and is accredited by both RIBA and the Architects Registration Board (ARB).
The Welsh School of Architecture offers a complete pathway to professional architecture qualification in the UK. Our MArch represents the second phase (Part 2) of this journey, designed for those pursuing full architect certification. The program holds accreditation from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Architects Registration Board (ARB). For those without Part 1 certification, we recommend exploring our BSc Architectural Studies program.

Our MArch is a full-time, two-year course with a distinctive structure: the first year primarily involves placement at an architectural practice, blending professional experience with academic study. The second year is campus-based at the Welsh School of Architecture's Bute Building.

The curriculum covers all essential architectural competencies while fostering personal and professional growth. To equip you for professional challenges, we expand your existing knowledge to encompass complex building design, urban planning requirements, and legal/professional aspects of architecture. Additionally, you'll have opportunities to specialize through an in-depth written dissertation project.
