Qualification Requirements

As a minimum, an upper second-class Bachelor's degree from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard, Applicants should ideally have a background in any social, historical, political science or humanities subject (history, international relations, philosophy, law, political theory, geography, development studies, economics) or a related subject. Relevant practical or work experience in a related field may also be taken into account. The English language level for this programme is: Level 4

UCL Pre-Master's and Pre-sessional English courses are for international students who are aiming to study for a postgraduate degree at UCL. The courses will develop your academic English and academic skills required to succeed at postgraduate level. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Version - Overall score of 7.5 and a minimum of 7.0 in each component. Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Overall score of 109 with 27/30 in reading and writing and 23/30 in speaking and listening.
