Build specialized knowledge and competencies across disciplines with this interdisciplinary program. The European Studies: European Society MA helps you develop an in-depth grasp of European philosophy, culture, history, and governance, preparing you for roles in academia, government, and NGOs. Offered through UCL's Centre for Multidisciplinary and Intercultural Inquiry (CMII), you'll also acquire valuable adaptable skills. The European Society track focuses on establishing strong theoretical foundations while promoting diverse approaches to historical and social science research. Students can explore innovative methods of combining literary analysis, artistic works, and cinematic studies in their examination of historical and societal contexts. Instruction and guidance come from globally recognized scholars from SELCS and CMII, with 83% of their research output rated as either 4 'world-leading' or 3 'internationally excellent' in the 2021 REF assessment.
