This one-year Finance with Data Science MSc program will provide you with essential competencies for data-informed financial decision-making. You'll gain the expertise to effectively collaborate on technical projects, analyses, and decision-making processes, particularly when working alongside data science professionals.Developed through a partnership between The UCL School of Management and UCL's Department of Economics, this program draws on cutting-edge research in finance, data science, econometrics, and economics.Upon completion, you'll be well-prepared for career opportunities in major financial centers worldwide, whether at leading investment banks, hedge funds, or innovative fintech startups leveraging data-driven approaches.
A minimum of an upper-second class Bachelor's degree from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in one of the following subjects: economics, finance, mathematics, econometrics and statistics or a combination of these disciplines. Degrees from other disciplines may be considered provided the background is sufficiently quantitative. Applicants are not required to submit a Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) or Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) result as part of their initial application. However, submitting a score of at least 165 in the quantitative section of the GRE will add weight to the application. Applicants may also wish to submit GMAT (or GMAT Focus) results, but we will not provide guidance in terms of minimum score. IELTS: Overall score of 7.0 and a minimum of 6.5 in each component. TOEFL: Overall score of 96 with 24/30 in reading and writing and 22/30 in speaking and listening.
