Our Geography BSc program integrates both physical and human geography, tackling pressing worldwide challenges like climate change, migration, geopolitical conflicts, and urban expansion. Students gain from hands-on field excursions, diverse module selections, and a forward-thinking curriculum informed by our internationally renowned faculty's groundbreaking research. The Geography BA and BSc programs share foundational courses initially, establishing a robust base for your geographical studies. The first year includes five mandatory modules—two on Geographical Thinking, two on Field Geography, plus Understanding Our Planet. Students then choose three optional modules from four available options, or select two from these plus one external department module.
In the second year, one or two core modules are paired with six or seven electives from an extensive selection, including field-based courses. This year emphasizes research methodology development. Students may start specializing in areas like environmental conservation, remote sensing, landform processes, or climate systems. An external department module remains an option during this year.
