Our Study Abroad Master's offers an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself in the work and culture of another nation. You'll dedicate a year to discovering varied landscapes, communities, and traditions in North America or Australasia, while also enjoying top-tier instruction at the cutting-edge Lancaster Environment Centre (LEC).
During your time at LEC, you'll utilize modern teaching and research laboratories, advanced computing resources, and even our dedicated weather observation facility. With small class sizes, you'll build personal connections with instructors, gaining from their specialized expertise and personalized guidance.
Lancaster-based courses will frequently utilize both the northern countryside and vibrant urban centers like Liverpool and Manchester, giving you access to some of Britain's most distinctive geographical sites. Practical learning includes excursions to locations such as the Yorkshire Dales, Cumbrian shoreline, and Lake District, plus international destinations like Iceland, Croatia, or New York.
Your first year Geography courses will establish core knowledge in human, physical, and environmental geography. These introductory modules provide comprehensive exposure to major geographical concepts while developing essential analytical techniques used across both physical and human geographical studies.
